Evaluation: Question Five
How did you attract/address your audience?
We used a survey to allow our audience to leave feedback on the final draft of the films opening. We got good feedback that highlighted both the good parts of our film and things that could have been improved in it.
The first good piece of feed back that we got was that the feedback showed that the people who watched out opening would watch our film in the cinema. This is good because it means that our opening was sufficiently interesting to make them want to watch the rest.
The feedback also showed that the people that saw our opening was able to keep their attention throughout. However there were some people that said that the middle section was a little more boring than the rest of the opening.
A lot of the audience also said that the digital special effects were the strongest part of our film as they were more technical than some of the other projects. This made it more interesting for them to watch while the two people were on the screen at once.
Evaluation: Question Three
What kind of media institution may distribute your media product and why?
Below is a video that explains how various media institutions would help us to produce and distribute our film.
Evaluation: Question Two
How does your media product represent particular social groups?
Gender
One of the social groups represented in our film is gender. The only characters given any real screen time in our film are both male and as such, we have a table that explains the representation of the male gender in the opening to our film.
Evaluation: Question One
In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Conventions
This is a table showing our research into the forms and conventions of our genre. It compares how our film matches up to the main conventions and shows whether or not our film conforms to these conventions or challenges them.
Narrative
This is an explanation of Torodov's narrative theory and shows comparisons between our film and another similar film called 'The Double'. Below is a comparison between our film's narrative and the narrative of The Double.

Film Poster
This is the film poster for the film 'Parallel'. It shows the two main characters of the film, 'Zable' and 'Zac' opposite each other with the saturation drained from the image to emphasize how opposite they are from each other. This instantly promotes the idea of them being parallel to each other. There is a subtle difference in the outlines of the two characters, Zable's being black to show that he is the darker of the two characters and Zac's being white in contrast to his counterpart's. Another thing that has been edited with our poster is the colour of the tie. By having the rest of the poster in greyscale and having one of the ties in a bright purple colour, it shows that one of the characters is more colourful and is the more interesting of the two.
